Amanda Wood is the Architecture+communityBUILD fellow from Clemson University Design Center for Spring 2022. She will be supporting the Awakening X: InTENtion listening session process, while engaging with over 20 plus neighborhoods on the Charleston peninsula to ensure their authentic voices are elevated.
Amanda is currently working towards her Master of Architecture degree. With a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the College of Charleston, she is excited to have the opportunity to gain experience in empowering the many diverse communities in Charleston through creativity and critical thinking. She hopes to bring a unique perspective to the field of architecture that places people and community at the forefront of design.
She feels these experiences will contribute to her future career as an architect to help change the way they interact with the communities they build for.
