The First 6 Months: Enough Pie End-of-the-year Report
August 18, 2013
The Enough Pie team is excited to share its first official end-of-the-year report! Thank you to everyone who joined us, worked with us, supported and inspired us in our first six months. We would not have made it this far without you.
But this is only the beginning. We learned a great deal in our first six months of operation, and know there is a lot of work ahead - but work we can do as a community. As a young organization, we feel there are endless possibilities for collaboration in the year to come. We encourage you all to read the report for a look back at our programming and growth thus far, and reach out to share your thoughts as we move forward - together.
An excerpt from the Executive Director letter by Chris Burgess:
“…This glimpse into both the past year as well that which is upcoming is a testament to the work we have done thus far as well as to the people with whom we have worked. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported our efforts - - our generous founding donors, amazing community stakeholders group and partners, tireless board of directors, incredible artists, unsurpassable volunteers, and you, the community, who have expressed so much enthusiasm and support which continues to inspire us everyday. We simply would not be here without you.
Everyone involved with Enough Pie believes strongly in the upper peninsula and we ultimately want our work to show how crucial arts and creativity are to the community - that art is not just beautiful, art is not just a quality-of-life perk, art is also a transformative economic tool and a means of civic engagement that shapes critical social bonds. We are here to spread that message however we can - as facilitator, programmer, presenter, advocate, researcher, and educator…”
