JOHN L. DART LIBRARY GETS A TRIBUTE MURAL

A colorful book themed mural has been painted on the south side of John L. Dart Library on Upper King Street in honor of Cynthia Graham Hurd. The full wall mural is in tribute to Cynthia Graham Hurd’s dedication to the library and commitment to the community.
Cynthia was the manager at the CCPL’s Dart Library branch from 1990-2011, and was working as the manager of the St. Andrew’s branch when her life was tragically ended in the Emmanuel AME tragedy. Her light and influence on the community continues to inspire the library, and Enough Pie is honored to partner with the Charleston County Public Library to help with this important project.
The public watched R. ROBOTS paint and participated in community painting experiences both on the mural as well as on the Library’s book carts.
