SPECTRA YOGA @ SOUND + LIGHT

HALLOWEEN MORNING: Enjoy yoga flow with Ashley Bell by the gentle glowing light of Southern artist Craig Colorusso’s SOUND + LIGHT warehouse installation, presented by Enough Pie + BoomTown.

On Saturday, 10.31.2015), the old box warehouse (and former set of Army Wives) at 1505 King Street in the Upper Peninsula will be transformed into cavernous yoga space filled with light and shadow, immersion into both a meditative and haunting experience for yoga practitioners of all levels. Led by local yoga instructor Ashley Bell, this yoga offering will be followed by an extended savasana and optional movement exploration.

Following the yoga experience, explore the entire five-piece installation of SOUND + LIGHT (open to the public for free) and plan to enjoy lunch from local food trucks who be onsite serving at noon.

C U B E M U S I C, the room where the yoga flow will be held, is just one component of Craig Colorusso’s five-piece installation, SOUND + LIGHT. For six days (October 27 – November 1), Enough Pie and BoomTown will activate SOUND + LIGHT at 1505 King Street Extension. An immersive, experiential installation in a cavernous darkened landscape, the warehouse will be illuminated through shadows, light and meditative sounds to create a peaceful and haunting warehouse experience for attendees.

In addition to our yoga event, join us as we kick off a week of SOUND + LIGHT through IGNITING SOUND + LIGHT: PREVIEW EXPERIENCE.

ABOUT:
Warehouses are central structures in Charleston’s Upper Peninsula, and the inspiration for Enough Pie’s six day fall program titled SOUND + LIGHT, a collection of pieces by Southern artist Craig Colorusso, winner of the 2014 ArtFields® Prize. The installation includes five pieces: C U B E M U S I C, MOON PHASES, SUN BOXES, MB 89 and a short film entitled INSTALL. Collectively these pieces span over a decade of work.
