CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR DR. O

Join Enough Pie on Sunday, October 18th to break bread, and speak your peace in remembrance and gratitude for the bright light of Dr. O. This community gathering will take place at Vivian Moultrie Park, 1201 King Street, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

A prayer offering will be led by Elder Carlie Towne from the Gullah Geechee Angel Network, and a soup supper will be served by The Stone Soup Collective. Please remember that face coverings are required, and social distancing is strongly encouraged. RSVP to the Facebook event here.

Next week, Dr. Ajani Ade Ofunniyin’s family will host a Celebration of Life ceremony to honor him. Let’s do what we can to help his tribe continue his legacy.

Saturday, October 24th
Brittlebank Park
Viewing at 12pm
Ceremony at 1pm

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Gullah Society at https://www.thegullahsociety.com/.

We hope to see you at both celebrations. Peace.
